Why choose two piece Swimwear?

Two piece swimwear has been a beach and swimming pool stable since it become popular in the 1950s.  Made with less fabric than any other type of swimwear, it made a splash in the typical conservative thought of the day.  These days however, two piece swimwear is common.  All it takes to wear two piece swimwear is a decent body and some confidence.

When most people think of two piece swimwear, they’re thinking of the bikini.  The bikini shows more skin than other swimsuit styles.  Luckily, there are more modest bikini options for women who want to cover themselves up for one reason or another.

The one big advantage two piece swimwear has over other swimsuit choices is customization.  Two pieces means two opportunities to choose color, pattern, fit, and cut.  Obviously you’ll want things to match well enough to look nice together, but a two piece swimsuit means you don’t need to try to decide between a solid color and a pattern, for example.  You can have the best of both worlds.

Triangle, bandeau, halter…what do these things have in common?  They’re all styles of bikini tops.  Two piece swimwear tops come in many varieties.  Having so many options is great because it means there’s something out there for every woman.  Halter and triangle tops are most often seen because they fit almost everyone.  Bandeau tops are a little harder to pull off, but have a certain retro flair that can’t be matched by other styles.  Whatever you feel most comfortable is what you should be wearing.

There are just as many two piece swimwear bottom options as there are tops, if not more.  It’s important to pay attention to the cut of bikini bottoms, because coverage can vary a lot.  For those who don’t mind showing some skin, string bikini bottoms are a sexy choice.  Skirted bottoms and boyshorts are great for people who don’t like the revealing nature of other bottoms.  Finally, there are standard bikini bottoms for those who are in the middle.  Some bottoms are embellished with decorations like belts and beads.

If a bikini sounds too revealing but you’re still interested in the idea of two piece swimwear, consider tankinis and skirtinis.  These are usually sorted into their own categories, but they still consist of two separate pieces and can be an excellent alternative to bikinis.

It’s hard to get bored shopping for two piece swimwear.  With so many options of colors and styles, you’ll always find the perfect swimsuit you’ve been looking for.
